Durham, NC (September 20, 2020) – Around 5:15 p.m. on Sunday evening, September 20, a truck accident involving a bus took place in Durham.
Durham Police were called to the scene of the accident, which took place at the intersection of Renaissance Parkway and Rolando Drive in front of the Southpoint Mall.
Police confirmed that, as a GoTriangle bus and a box truck entered the intersection, they collided with one another. Police have not yet identified the responsible party.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the accident. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while three others were injured and hospitalized. Their current conditions are not yet known.
The intersection was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
