Durham, NC – Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash at Holloway St Intersection

Durham, NC (September 28, 2020) – Around 3:30 a.m. on Monday morning, September 28, a hit-and-run pedestrian crash took place at an intersection in Durham.

The accident, according to police, took place at the intersection of Holloway Street and North Alston Avenue. Police confirmed that a female pedestrian was crossing the intersection when she was struck by a driver who fled the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the crash. EMS crews confirmed that the pedestrian suffered a broken leg or ankle and was taken to the hospital. She is expected to recover.

Police have not yet found the driver responsible for the accident. They have not released the description of the vehicle involved.
