Durham, NC (November 19, 2020) – Around 11 p.m. on Thursday night, November 19, a pedestrian accident took place in Durham.
The accident occurred on LaSalle Street around the area of the Bradford Ridge apartments and the Duke University Hospital. Two vehicles collided with each other, sending one of them into a chain-link fence and one of them into a parking lot.
The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was struck by the vehicle that landed in the parking lot. The unidentified victim was taken to the hospital with injuries but is expected to be okay.
Police confirmed that two people were placed in handcuffs but the charges stemming from the accident are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
