Fayetteville, NC (September 12, 2020) – Around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, a pedestrian accident took place near an intersection in Fayetteville.
According to Fayetteville Police, the accident took place in the westbound lanes of Raeford Road near Bunce Road. An officer was driving westbound at the intersection when the police cruiser collided with a woman walking in the area.
The woman, who has not yet been identified, was immediately transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with a variety of injuries. She is expected to be okay. The officer was not injured in the accident.
Multiple lanes of traffic were blocked in the area while police worked to clear the scene. They urged those traveling in the area to avoid the intersection.
