Fleetwood, NC (October 23, 2020) – On Wednesday, October 21 around 10 a.m., a car accident involving two vehicles took place in Fleetwood.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that the accident took place at the intersection of US-221 and Railroad Grade Road. Police initially received a call about four vehicles being involved in an accident with a pedestrian. However, when they arrived, they found that two vehicles were involved in a rear-end accident.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the accident. One victim was injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. He has since been identified as 37-year-old James Ally.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
