Goldsboro, NC – Child Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Old Grantham Rd

Goldsboro, NC (November 14, 2020) – On Saturday afternoon, November 14, a child was injured in a pedestrian accident at a Goldsboro intersection.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol confirmed that the accident took place when an 11-year-old was walking at the intersection of Old Grantham Road and Crestwood Drive. A vehicle was approaching the child and allegedly did not see him, slamming into him as he crossed the roadway.

The child was seriously injured as a result of the accident. He was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
