Graham, NC – Marco Shetter Killed in Fatal Collision on I-40

Graham, NC (October 13, 2020) – Around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, October 13, a man was killed in a fatal collision in Graham.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol confirmed the accident took place on I-40 around the area of North Carolina Highway 54. A man identified as Marco Shetter was traveling west in a Ford passenger vehicle when he struck a disabled box truck in the area for reasons that are not yet known. A 60-year-old High Point man was in the box truck.

Paramedics were present at the scene of the collision. They pronounced Shetter dead at the scene of the collision. The 60-year-old was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries but he is expected to be okay.

The highway was closed down in the area for an hour while police worked to clear the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
