Greensboro, NC (October 2, 2020) – Police confirmed that two people were injured in a car accident that occurred on NC-62 in Greensboro.
According to police, the collision took place on Thursday, October 1, when two vehicles collided in Randolph County. Police said that a Dodge pickup truck was headed west on NC-62 when the driver of an SUV was headed east.
The pickup truck started to veer onto the right side of the roadway where the driver overcorrected and went to the center, striking the SUV. The driver of the pickup truck, who has not yet been identified, was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the SUV was also injured and hospitalized but their injuries are not severe.
The roadway was closed down in multiple lanes while the police worked on clearing the scene.
Police have not yet determined what caused the driver of the pickup truck to lose control but their investigation is currently ongoing.
