Greenville, NC – Kari Williams Killed in Bicycle Accident on S Memorial Dr

Greenville, NC (November 14, 2020) – Around 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening, November 13, a woman was killed in a bicycle accident in Greenville.

According to Greenville Police, the accident occurred on South Memorial Drive when a cyclist was riding along the roadway when she was struck by a vehicle in the area. The driver responsible fled the scene of the accident and has currently not been identified by police.

The cyclist was identified as 27-year-old Kari Williams from Winterville. She was badly injured and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The roadway was closed in the southbound lanes of traffic throughout the night.

Police believe that the vehicle responsible for the accident is a white or tan passenger vehicle with damage to its front end.

The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
