Hendersonville, NC (September 6, 2020) – Around 6 p.m. on the evening of September 1, one person was seriously injured in a car accident in Hendersonville. The party has since died as a result of the collision.
The accident, according to police, took place on Clear Creek Road when two or more vehicles collided with one another for reasons that are not yet known. One party, identified as 38-year-old Donald Mitchell Allen from Fletcher, was taken to the hospital with a severe brain injury.
Allen was treated and held at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. However, on September 3, he was pronounced fully brain dead.
It is not known if any other parties were injured as a result of the collision.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
