Hertford, NC – Spreader Involved in Accident at Harvey Point Rd Intersection

Hertford, NC (November 7, 2020) – Around 2:45 pm. on Friday afternoon, November 6, a spreader and another vehicle were involved in an accident at an intersection in Hertford.

Few details have been released but police confirmed that the crash occurred at the intersection of Harvey Point Road and Ocean Highway. The crash allegedly took place between a spreader that was being used for agricultural purposes and a passenger vehicle. The spreader immediately flipped over at the intersection.

The spreader was carrying a load of lime on the back. It spilled all over the highway after the vehicle flipped. This prompted cleaning crews to the scene.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene. One person was airlifted to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
