High Point, NC – Boy Struck in Pedestrian Accident on Willard Rd

High Point, NC (September 9, 2020) – Around 11 a.m. yesterday morning, September 8, a boy was struck in a pedestrian accident in High Point.

Police confirmed that the accident took place on Willard Road when a 10-year-old boy was crossing the street and was struck by a white four-door sedan. The boy was headed home after he picked up his lunch from a school bus making rounds.

The driver of the vehicle immediately fled the scene after striking the child. She was identified as a black female wearing a blonde wig. Police believe that her side mirror was dangling from the vehicle and the vehicle might have a dent.

The boy was seriously injured. Paramedics transported the victim to Brenner Children’s Hospital for treatment, though his current condition is not yet known.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues at this time.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family in hopes of a full recovery.
