High Point, NC – Serious Collision at Johnson St and Oakview Rd

High Point, NC (September 14, 2020) – Around 8:10 p.m. last night, September 13, a serious collision occurred at a High Point intersection.

Police confirmed that the accident took place at the intersection of Johnson Street and Oakview Road when two vehicles collided. They discovered that a 2012 Altima and a 2020 Altima collided at the intersection.

Initial investigations found that the 2020 Altima was speeding around 100 mph in a 45 mph zone when the 2012 Altima started to make a left turn at the intersection. The two vehicles collided, causing severe damages. Due to the force of the impact, the 2012 Altima rolled onto its passenger side against a utility pole.

Two people inside the 2012 Altima were seriously injured and rushed to the hospital. They were identified as 18-year-old Joshua Kole Norris and 18-year-old Nehemiah Pratt.

There were four people inside the 2020 Altima who were also injured as a result of the accident. The 21-year-old driver and an 18-year-old passenger were hospitalized with minor injuries. Two passengers, identified as a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old, were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident at this time.
