Holly Springs, NC (December 3, 2020) – Around 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, a pedestrian accident took place at an intersection in Holly Springs.
According to police, the accident took place at the intersection of NC-55 and South Main Street around the area of the local shopping center. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was walking in the area when they were struck by a vehicle. Three other vehicles became involved in the crash.
The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was the only person injured in the accident. They were taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
NC-55 was closed in both directions at the intersection for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
