Laurinburg, NC (September 15, 2020) – Around 11:20 a.m. this morning, September 15, a serious motorcycle accident with injuries occurred in Laurinburg.
According to officials, the accident took place when a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle were traveling on Leisure Road. For reasons that are not yet known, the two vehicles collided with one another, causing severe damages.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol officials, fire crews, and paramedics were dispatched to the scene. Police confirmed that a medical helicopter was also called to the scene and the unnamed motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Their identity and condition are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time until police were able to fully clear the scene.
