Leicester, NC – Two Injured in Car Accident on New Leicester Hwy

Leicester, NC (November 4, 2020) – Around 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, November 3, two people were injured in a car accident in Leicester.

Officials confirmed that the accident took place on the New Leicester Highway. A black SUV was traveling in the area when it suddenly crossed the center line and struck a white car due to unknown reasons.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to assist at the scene of the accident. Two people were injured as a result of the accident, one of which suffered from critical injuries. They were hospitalized.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
