Lexington, NC – Auto Crash Causes Injuries on NC-109

Lexington, NC (September 7, 2020) – An auto accident caused injuries on a roadway in Lexington yesterday afternoon. 

First responders including police, paramedics, and fire crews were dispatched to the scene of the collision that occurred on NC-109 at approximately 5:51 p.m on September 6. The reason the wreck took place remains under investigation by local police at this time. 

It is believed that at least two vehicles were involved in a collision on the roadway, though the details surrounding the incident are currently limited. 

Paramedics were called to assist injured victims at the site of the accident, but the severity and scope of any injuries suffered remain undisclosed at this time. 

No one involved in the accident has currently been identified as police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the crash. 

While first responders worked at the site of the wreck, the area of NC-109 where the crash occurred was closed off to travelers in the area. It has since been reopened by police.
