Lexington, NC – Two Injured in Pedestrian Accident on NC-8

Lexington, NC (November 16, 2020) – Around 8:42 p.m. on Friday, November 13, two people were injured in a Lexington pedestrian accident.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the accident took place on NC-8 around the area of City Lake Road. Police confirmed that a white Acura passenger vehicle was traveling north on NC-8 when it collided with two pedestrians. The pedestrians were allegedly walking on the side of the road at the time of the collision.

After the vehicle struck the pedestrians, the driver immediately fled the scene of the accident. The pedestrians were immediately taken to Wake Forest University Medical Center for treatment of both serious and minor injuries.

The pedestrians have since been identified as 40-year-old Joshua Caleb Crocker and 46-year-old John Tracy Jones.

The driver responsible for the accident has not yet been identified.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
