Matthews, NC – Car Crash at McKee Rd and Knox Ave Intersection

Matthews, NC (December 17, 2020) – Around 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday night, December 16, a car crash with injuries occurred in Matthews.

Though few details have been released, it is believed that the accident happened at the intersection of McKee Road and Knox Avenue when two vehicles collided with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained severe damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident. One or more victims were injured and transported to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time.
