Morrisville, NC (September 11, 2020) – On Thursday night, September 10, a serious pedestrian accident with injuries occurred in Morrisville.
Authorities confirmed that the accident took place in the eastbound lanes of I-540 around the area of Glenwood Avenue. Police said that Jason Marshall Sheffield of Durham was traveling along the ramp at the time of the collision.
A driver identified as Sherrie Denise Snead struck the pedestrian as she was driving down the ramp to merge onto Glenwood Avenue. She was driving around 45 mph when the accident occurred.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the accident around 8:25 p.m. They transported Sheffield to the hospital with a series of life-threatening injuries.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues at this time.
