Pisgah Forest, NC – Pedestrian Accident at Lyday Loop Rd Intersection

Pisgah Forest, NC (October 17, 2020) – Around 11 p.m. on Friday night, October 16, a pedestrian accident with injuries occurred in Pisgah Forest.

According to authorities, the accident took place at the intersection of Lyday Loop Road and US-64. An 18-wheeler and a pedestrian collided with one another at the intersection for reasons that are not yet known.

The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was seriously injured as a result of the collision. They were hospitalized, though the extent of their injuries is not yet known.

The roadway was closed in both directions in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly cleared the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues at this time.
