Raleigh, NC – Bicycle Crash Involving Child on Capital Blvd

Raleigh, NC (October 19, 2020) – On Monday night, October 19, at an unknown time, a bicycle accident with a motor vehicle that involved a child was reported in Raleigh.

The collision, according to Raleigh Police, took place at the intersection of Capital Boulevard and Cheviot Hill Drive. An 8-year-old boy was riding his bicycle across the road when he was struck by a passenger vehicle traveling in the area.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. The boy was the only person injured in the accident and he was taken to WakeMed for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He is expected to be okay.

Police said that the driver remained at the scene of the accident and is not expected to be charged at this time.

The investigation into the collision continues.
