Raleigh, NC (November 3, 2020) – Around 6 p.m. on Tuesday evening, November 3, a three-vehicle collision with injuries took place in Raleigh.
According to authorities, the accident took place when three vehicles collided in the eastbound lanes of I-40 for reasons that are not yet known. The accident occurred near the area of Wade Avenue and caused one vehicle to completely rollover as a result. A Jeep Wrangler was also seen in the area with damage to its hood.
Multiple EMS crews were present at the scene of the accident to assist those with injuries. The injured victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Due to the severity of the crash, all three lanes of traffic in the area of the accident were closed. Traffic continued to back up throughout the evening hours for miles. Police have worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the crash continues at this time.
