Sanford, NC – Two Killed in Fatal Crash at NC-87 and Olivia Rd

Sanford, NC (September 18, 2020) – Around 6 a.m. on Friday, September 18, a fatal crash took place at an intersection in Sanford.

The accident, according to officials, took place at the intersection of NC-87 and Olivia Road. Police confirmed that two light-colored pickup trucks entered the intersection at the same time, colliding with each other. The accident led to a wide array of damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. Two people were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, though it is not known which vehicles they were in. Their identities have not yet been released.

Several lanes of traffic were closed down in the area of the accident for a period of time.
