Sims, NC – Shelia Brown Killed in Fatal Fire on Wall St

Sims, NC (December 22, 2020) – Late on Monday night, December 21, a woman was killed in a fatal house fire that took place in Sims.

According to police and the Sims Volunteer Fire Department, the fire started around 11:55 p.m. on a home at 6600 Wall Street in Sims. A neighbor noticed the flames showing through the home and made the call.

When fire crews went inside the home after extinguishing the fire, they found the body of a woman. The victim, identified as 61-year-old Sheila Renee Brown, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances leading up to the fire continues.
