Spring Lake, NC (September 20, 2020) – On Sunday afternoon, September 20, a car accident with injuries took place at an intersection in Spring Lake.
Cumberland County officials responded to the scene of the accident at the intersection of McCormick Bridge Road and Sandclay Road when a driver lost control of their vehicle, crashing off the side of the road. Photographs taken at the scene showed a blue sedan wrecked in a ditch off the side of the road.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other officials were called to the scene of the accident to assist those in need. They confirmed that two or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. They were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The intersection was blocked in the area for a period of time.
