Zebulon, NC – Officer Injured in T-Bone Car Accident on NC-96

Zebulon, NC (October 3, 2020) – State Highway Patrol officials confirmed that a car accident led to injuries in a police officer on Saturday morning, October 3.

Police confirmed that a Zebulon police officer was responding to a burglary when the accident took place. The officer was driving northbound on NC-96 when a 2019 Chevrolet Blazer pulled out in front of the officer’s cruiser.

The officer was not able to stop in time, causing his vehicle to collide with the Blazer in a T-bone accident.

Both drivers, as well as one passenger in the Blazer, were injured as a result of the accident. They were all taken to local hospitals and are expected to be okay.

The roadway was blocked in the area for a short period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
