Angier, NC – Man Injured in House Fire in Home on NC-55

Angier, NC (November 4, 2021) – At 6:42 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday, November 3, a man was injured in a house fire in a home in Angier.

According to Harnett County officials, the incident took place in a home at 6000 NC-55. A home caught on fire in the area, causing smoke and fire to engulf the house quickly. Several units were dispatched to the area to bring the fire under control. A man was inside the home and had to be rescued by fire crews.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help. The 81-year-old man who was rescued from the fire was taken to Central Harnett Hospital with serious injuries. His current condition is not yet known.

The area was blocked for a period of time after fire crews brought the fire under control.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
