Apex, NC (September 23, 2021) – At 6:55 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, September 23, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Apex.
According to Raleigh Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Apex Barbecue Road and Brasstown Lane. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time. This caused the vehicles to collide with one another forcefully. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police worked to quickly clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
