Apex, NC (February 6, 2021) – On Friday night, February 5, a pedestrian accident involving a hit-and-run driver took place in Apex.
According to Raleigh authorities, the accident happened on Ten-Ten Road. Few details have been released but police confirmed that a vehicle struck a utility pole in the area and caused power outages. A woman was standing in the area and flagging down vehicles so that they could stop in time for the accident up ahead.
For reasons that are not yet known, a Kia Soul crashed into the woman and then fled the scene, leaving her without assistance.
Paramedics arrived at the scene of the accident to help the unidentified woman. She was taken to the hospital with a broken leg.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation is currently ongoing.
