Cary, NC (August 22, 2021) – At 12:27 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, August 22, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Cary.
According to the Cary Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Piney Plains Road and Tryon Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, colliding forcefully with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
