Cary, NC (January 9, 2021) – On Saturday morning, January 9, a five-vehicle collision with injuries occurred on a major roadway in Cary.
According to police, the accident took place in the northbound lanes of US-1 around the area of Tryon Road and US-64. Few details have been released but police confirmed that the accident was a severe chain-reaction collision. One vehicle was propelled down an embankment, leading to severe damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those with injuries. One victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
