Cary, NC (January 23, 2021) – On Friday at an unidentified time, January 22, a serious pedestrian accident occurred on a major roadway in Cary.
According to officials, the accident happened on US-1 when a pedestrian was attempting to cross the street. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was struck by a vehicle that remained at the scene of the accident.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
US-1 was blocked in the area of Walnut Street for several hours as police worked to clear the scene.
