Charlotte, NC (January 3, 2021) – At 12:15 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, January 3, a serious car accident with injuries occurred at a Charlotte intersection.
According to Charlotte officials, the accident happened at the intersection of North Tryon Street and West 30th Street when two vehicles collided. Few details have been released but it is believed that the vehicles entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene of the collision to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time until police were able to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
