Charlotte, NC (January 31, 2021) – At 5:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, January 31, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Charlotte.
According to Charlotte officials, the accident happened at the intersection of East Morehead Street and South Tryon Street when two vehicles collided with one another. Few details have been released but it is believed that the vehicles entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to forcefully collide. The vehicles involved were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
