Charlotte, NC – Car Crash at Intersection of Johnston Rd & Pineville-Matthews Rd

Charlotte, NC (April 6, 2021) – At 7 p.m. on the evening of Monday, April 5, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Charlotte.

According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Johnston Road and Pineville-Matthews Road. Two vehicles allegedly collided with each other in the area due to unknown reasons, which led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene. One or more victims were hospitalized with a variety of injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
