Charlotte, NC (January 2, 2021) – Around 10:30 p.m. on Friday night, January 1, a car crash with injuries took place at an intersection in Charlotte.
Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident took place when two vehicles collided at the intersection of Sledge Road and Steele Creek Road. Police have since said that one vehicle struck another when it entered the intersection at the same time as the other. The accident led to extensive damages.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those with injuries. One or more victims were injured and hospitalized. Their identities and conditions are not yet known.
The intersection was blocked until police were able to clear the scene.
At this time, the investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
