Charlotte, NC – Car Crash at Sugar Creek Rd & Brownes Ferry Rd

Charlotte, NC (January 4, 2021) – Around 6:25 p.m. on Sunday evening, January 3, a car crash with injuries occurred in Charlotte.

Charlotte officials confirmed that the crash took place at the intersection of Sugar Creek Road and Brownes Ferry Road. Few details are known but it is believed that two or more vehicles entered the intersection at the same time, leading to the damaging collision.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the crash to help those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to the hospital, though their conditions have not been verified.

The roadway was blocked for an extended period of time until police cleared the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision remains ongoing at this time.
