Charlotte, NC (October 10, 2021) – On Saturday, October 9, a fatal pedestrian accident took place near a hotel that involved a child.
According to Charlotte Police, the accident happened on Pine Creek Road at the Suburban Lodge hotel. A 9-year-old child was walking in the area when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle that was driving in the area. The driver involved in the accident pulled over and remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The 9-year-old struck by the vehicle was badly injured and pronounced dead at the scene due to their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the hotel for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
