Charlotte, NC – Hit-and-Run Collision with Injuries on Albemarle Rd

Charlotte, NC (January 17, 2021) – At 1:20 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, January 17, a hit-and-run collision took place on a major roadway in Charlotte.

Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident happened at 7901 Albemarle Road when two vehicles collided with each other for reasons that are not yet known. One of the vehicles immediately fled the scene of the accident. It is not known if police found the driver responsible for the accident.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to assist those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to the hospital but their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released. The investigation continues.
