Charlotte, NC – Hit-and-Run Crash at Burkland Dr Leads to Injuries

Charlotte, NC (January 12, 2021) – Around 3:35 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, January 12, a hit-and-run crash with injuries occurred in Charlotte.

According to Charlotte officials, the accident happened at 3530 Burkland Drive when two or more vehicles collided in the area. Police confirmed that one of the vehicles immediately fled the scene, leaving the others behind.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the crash to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area for some time until police cleared the scene. Police did not confirm if they found the driver responsible for the accident.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
