Charlotte, NC – Hit-and-Run Crash at Coronado Dr & N Sharon Amity Rd

Charlotte, NC (January 17, 2021) – At 5:40 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, January 17, a hit-and-run crash took place at an intersection in Charlotte.

According to Charlotte officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Coronado Drive and North Sharon Amity Road. It is believed that two vehicles collided with each other, one of which immediately fled the scene of the accident. Police did not confirm if they found the vehicle responsible for the accident.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the collision to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked at the intersection for a period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
