Charlotte, NC (January 25, 2021) – At 5 p.m. on Monday evening, January 25, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Charlotte.
According to Charlotte officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Freedom Drive and Alleghany Street. Few details have been released but it is believed that two vehicles collided at the intersection, with one fleeing the scene. Police did not confirm if they were able to catch the driver who fled the scene.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the crash to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
