Charlotte, NC (January 27, 2021) – At 7:30 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday, January 27, a hit-and-run crash took place at an intersection in Charlotte.
Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident happened when two vehicles collided at the intersection of Remount Road and Wilkinson Boulevard. One of the vehicles immediately fled the scene of the accident. Police did not confirm if they caught the driver responsible for the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for a period of time until police cleared the scene.
