Charlotte, NC (January 22, 2021) – At 6 a.m. on Friday morning, January 22, a hit-and-run crash with injuries occurred in Charlotte.
According to Charlotte officials, the accident took place on The Plaza just west of Matheson Avenue. Few details have been released but police confirmed that one vehicle struck another and then fled the scene of the accident without stopping. Police did not say if the other driver was found by police.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the accident to help those in need. One or more parties in the vehicle that remained at the scene of the accident were injured. The parties were hospitalized for their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection until police cleared the scene.
