Charlotte, NC (January 28, 2021) – Around 5 p.m. on Thursday evening, January 28, a fatal collision took place on a highway in Charlotte.
According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident took place in the outer lanes of I-485 around the area of Westinghouse Boulevard. Few details have been released but it is believed that two or more vehicles collided in the area.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time. Drivers were urged to find alternate routes.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
