Charlotte, NC – Two Injured in Apartment Fire on Brooktree Dr

Charlotte, NC (December 29, 2021) – On Tuesday, December 28, an apartment fire led to injuries in two victims in Charlotte.

According to Charlotte Fire Department and police officials, the accident happened in an apartment complex on Brooktree Drive. A second grader saw flames and smoke coming out of the apartment and told their parents. Fire crews and the child’s father went into the apartment to rescue anyone who was trapped inside.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One of the rescuers, as well as a woman who lived in the apartment, were injured due to the fire. They were taken to the hospital but are expected to be okay.

The area was blocked for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene. The estimated losses due to the fire were approximately $12,000.
