Clayton, NC (September 22, 2021) – At 10 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday, September 22, a car accident with injuries occurred in Clayton.
According to Raleigh Police, the accident happened on Cleveland Road near the area of Polenta Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were left with extensive damages. Tow trucks removed the vehicles from the road.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were trapped inside their vehicles and had to be extricated. The victims were then taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the crash, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
