Davidson Co, NC (April 15, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed after being involved in a collision with another vehicle in Davidson County on Wednesday, April 14.
According to local sources, the fatal crash occurred near the crossing of NC-8 and S. Main Street at around 1:59 p.m. that afternoon. A motorcyclist was reportedly traveling northbound on the highway when a sport-utility vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign. The two vehicles collided, causing the rider to be ejected from the bike.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by responding medical personnel. The driver of the SUV was transported to Lexington Hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. The identity of the deceased party has not been released at this time.
