Dunn, NC (February 4, 2021) – Around 5 a.m. on Thursday morning, February 4, a pedestrian accident took place on a major highway in Dunn.
According to officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-95 around the area of Long Branch Road. Police confirmed that multiple vehicles, including a tanker truck and a flatbed truck, collided with one another. Numerous passenger vehicles were involved in the accident as well.
A driver in one of the vehicles got out of his car when one of the trucks involved in the crash collided with it, pushing it into the pedestrian. Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. His current condition is not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was closed in multiple lanes in the area for an extended period of time.
